The paper, read at the Association's 1899 Torrington meeting is presented in two parts. The first deals with the Common Law Rights of Great Torrington inhabitants. The second part provides a statement of the revenues or incomes derived from the common lands belonging to the inhabitants. These records relate to the requirements of the 1777 Cantley Enclosure Act. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries.
