They had six sons & five daughters of which Nicholas was the heir. Note a son William married Rebecca daughter of Thomas Docton and had three daughters. William was born 1592, died 1684 . The youngest daughter Prudence married Achilles Fortescue. [Chope; Book of Hartland p 182.]

He died in 1631. No record of his wife being buried at Hartland although a daughter Prudence is buried in 1639 and Jane is recorded as next of kin. There is no seat assigned to Jane. She is the daughter of Charles Prust [died 1592] and Honor Stone, Charles has also Temperance married Nich. Hawke, Anna, Honor, Mary who married J. Escott Gent, The name Dungey could be a mistake for Mungey [Mountjoy] then repeated by the scribes.

Bapt 1584 died 1637 aged 53. He married in 1607 at Hartland Elizabeth the daughter of Anthony Monk of Potherbridge, Devon. Elizabeth died 1653 aged about 76. At 1613 he would be 29 and she about 26. They had four daughters of which one Elizabeth married William Galsworthy in 1680.
11S_04-02-1MMLuttrell, NicholasM*1***Hartland Abbey or attached propertyAgricultureS_04-01Luttrell, NicholasThis is the second seat assignment and forms part of the Luttrell family Ile. Their eldest son Anthony was born pre 1612 as Chope says he was over 25 at his fathers death. At 1613 still alive and in this area would have been Prudence Luttrell (aged 49) The said Nicholas (aged 29) his wife Elizabeth (aged 26) and their eldest son Anthony (aged 2). It could also be possible that cousins from a branch of the Abbot family that were still alive sat here as one had married Honor daughter of John Colwill. The William who had married Thomas Docton could be here if she is not seated in the Docton assignment.
