HIGH BRAY

"HIGH BRAY, a parish in the hundred of Sherwill, in the county of Devon, 6 miles to the N. of South Melton. It is situated on the confines of Somersetshire, on the banks of the river Bray, a branch of the Taw. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter, of the value of £280, in the patronage of T. P. Acland, Esq. The church is dedicated to All Saints.

"MOLE, a river which rises near High Bray in the parish of High Bray, in North Devonshire, and joins the river Bray at Leigh."
