Third Report (Second Series) of the Committee to Collect and Tabulate Observations on the Climate of Devon During 1883.

Trans. Devon Assoc., 1884, Vol XVI, pp. 183-188.

by

P.F.S. Amery.

Prepared by Michael Steer

The Association’s Committee collected and tabulated an abstract of meteorological observations daring 1883, relating to rainfall, temperature, humidity, and cloud, taken by experienced  persons scattered over the county of Devon, claiming that a comparison of which afforded a better idea of the climatic variations in the different districts than any generalization could give. This index provides a complete record of the observers participating in the project. The article, from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
