Twenty-First Report (Third Series) of the Committee on the Climate of Devon.
Trans. Devon Assoc., 1898, Vol XXX, pp. 80-89.
by
Alfred Chandler, F.R. Met. Soc., Honorary Secretary.
Prepared by Michael Steer
The Report was presented at the Association’s July 1903 Sidmouth meeting. It consists of meteorological observations related to Rainfall, Temperature, Humidity, Cloud, and Sunshine taken throughout Devon during 1902. Observations were taken daily at 9 a.m. local time, with the exception of Blackingstone and Laployd. It was noted that Rainfall at Blackingstone and Laployd (within the Torquay watershed) was recorded with monthly rain-gauges. The Report, from a copy of a rare journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
