Twenty-Ninth Report (Third Series) of the
Committee on the Climate of Devon

Trans. Devon Assoc., 1911, Vol XLIII, tables, pp. 105-119.

by

R. Hansford Worth (Ed.)

Prepared by Michael Steer

The Report was presented at the Association’s 26th July 1911 Dartmouth meeting. It consists of meteorological observations related to Rainfall, Temperature, Humidity, Cloud, and Sunshine taken throughout Devon during 1910. The Committee reported that its Twenty-eighth Report had emphasized that “a year might leave an impression of undue rainfall, whereas there might, in fact, be a deficiency of rain. In 1910, no such divergence between popular judgment and scientific record could have arisen; it appeared to be a wet period, and appearances very distinctly accorded with fact”. The Report, from a copy of a rare journal can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
