The report was read at the Association’s July 25th, 1917 Barnstaple meeting. The Committee recorded the death of Rev John Gill, M.A. Vicar of Holne. No return was received from Abbotskerswell. Retirement of the Rev. H. F. Ramsay from the Rectory of Exmoor saw loss of the Simonsbath records. Two new stations were included in the report: Postbridge substitutes for the lost record at Archerton, whose observer was Mr. Herbert J. Roberts and Ashwater Rectory, supplied by the Rev. G. D. Melhuish. This report extract provides (a) names of the Climate Committee members, (b) a comprehensive list of the Stations at which readings were taken, and (c) the names of the observers. The report extract is from a copy of a rare and much sought-after journal that can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. These books, on which copyright has expired, are available for free educational and research use, both as individual books and as full collections to aid researchers.
