Lease for a Year between Mr Charles BROWN to Mr Thomas BROWN Dated 3rd day of April 1815

This Indenture made the 3rd April in the 55th year of the reign of our Sovereign lord George the third and in the year of Our Lord 1815 Between Charles BROWN of Hollacombe Town in the parish of Hollacombe in the co of Devon yeoman of the one part and Thomas BROWN his son of the parish of Hollacombe yeoman of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain to him the said Charles BROWN paid to him by the said Thomas BROWN at or immediately before the sealing and delivering of these presents ...... Hath bargained and sold unto the said Thomas BROWN his executors administrators and assigns All that tenement with the appurtenances together with the half part or halfendeale of the whole Barton known by the name of Hollacombe in the parish of Hollacombe heretofore in the possession of Thomas BROWN deceased the father of the said Charles BROWN ........... to the said Thomas BROWN ... yielding the rent of one Peppercorn ......... party of the third part Oliver DAVEY, in witness we have set our hands and seals on the day and date above.
