Some notes on rectors of Honiton since the Commonwealth

Trans. Devon. Assoc. vol. 30, (1898), pp. 127-131.

Thomas Cann Hughes

Prepared by Michael Steer

During the 18th century a serious fire ravaged the town, and many of the original buildings in Honiton including its ancient parish church were destroyed. Visitors to Honiton today are mainly faced with Georgian and Victorian buildings constructed after the fire. St Michael's Parish Church, which enjoys a prominent on a small hill above the town, was rebuilt in 1911 after a fire. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the New York Public Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
