In the name of God Amen I William Symons of the Parish of Lew Trenchard and County of Devon Yeoman being of sound mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament First and principally I resign my Soul to Almighty God my Creator who gave it and my Body to be buried in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as for my worldly Goods which the Almighty has been pleased to bless me with I give devise and Bequeath as follows - I give and Bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary Ann Symons the full Sum of Five hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain and the aforesaid Sum of Five Hundred Pounds shall be at her command immediately after my Executors shall decline1 Business Also two Dwelling Houses and all appurtenances thereto belonging situate in the Parish of Lydford during her natural life Also I give devise and Bequeath unto my Son William Symons One Pound of good and lawful Money of the aforesaid Five hundred Pounds twelve Months after the discease of his Mother - Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Symons Twenty Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain Twelve Months after my decease and Ten Pounds after the death of his Mother Also I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Symons the sum of Twenty Pounds of good and lawful Money to be paid her twelve Months after my decease and Thirty Pounds after the decease of her Mother Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Margaret Page the sum of Fifteen Pounds of good and lawful Money Twelve Months after my decease and Ten Pounds after the decease of her Mother Also I give and Bequeath unto my Son Henry Symons the sum of Twenty-five Pounds of good and lawful Money Twelve Months after my decease and Ten Pounds after the decease of his Mother - Also I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Kennard the sum of Fifteen Pounds of good and lawful Money Twelve Months after my decease and Five Pounds after the decease of her Mother Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Susanna Symons the sum of Twenty Pounds of good and lawful Money Twelve Months after my decease and Thirty Pounds after the decease of her Mother All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Goods Chattels, ready Money and Security for Money of what nature or Kind soever or wheresoever the same may be I give devise bequeath unto my two Sons Thomas Symons and Charles Symons who I make constitute and ordain my sole and joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do revoke disannul and make void all other (1)
Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this sixth day of June One thousand Eight hundred and Fifty-one -
