In the name of God Amen I Ann Bogan of Uphempston in the County of Devon widdow being Sick and weak of Body but of Sound & pfect memory I doe hereby make and Ordaine this my last Will & testament Revoking all former wills written or noncuperative ffirst I bequeath my soul into the home of Almighty God that gave it trusting for everlasting Salvation through the merritty/morritty ?of my blessed Saviour & redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to the earth to be buried in Such a decent manner as my Executor hereafter named shall think fit Item I give to the poor of the pish of Little Hempston in the sd County of Devon the sume of Ten pounds which money is by the officers of the Prish to be putt out upon security of Interest and the Interest yearly to be Distributed by them amongst the sd poor Item I give to my Cozen Richard Eles the sume of Twenty pounds to be paid him within two years after my Decease Item I give to my Servant Thomasin EDMONDS the sume of Ten pounds to be paid to her within one year after my decease Item I give to my Brother Christopher Bale & Elizabeth his Wife & Christopher Bale their son & to Lady Jane Stawell & to my Nephews William Stawell & Thomas Stawell & my Cozin Richard Langdon and Mr James Oxenden one Gold Ring a piece to eash and every one of them of the value of Twenty shillings And my Will is that whereas I have formerly setled my Esate in the Pish of Denbury in the Sd County called Odellhill [or Odell hill] upon Trustees for the severall uses therin contained by a certaine Deed or writing Indentured I doe hereby confirm the Said Deed & doe Direct that the uses shall be fulfilled according to the purpose of the Sd Deed, And all the residue of my goods and Chattles after my Just Debts & legacies hereby Given are fully Satisified & paid. I Give and bequeath to my Son Walter Bogan of Gatcoombe in the Sd County Esqr whom I hereby make & ordaine full & whole Executor of this my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand & Seale the Twenty Eight Day of October in the ffifth year of the reigne of our Sovereign Lord and Lady King William & Queen Mary over England & Ammo Domini one thousand Six hundred Ninty three.
