The paper, delivered at the Association's July 1879 Ilfracombe meeting, provides a transcript and an extensive commentary on a paper that appeared in the Monthly Magazine, or British Register, vol. xxix, Part 1, for 1810. There was no statement in that magazine to show how or whence the initial transcript was obtained. W R Pengelly (this paper's author) asserts that the information outlined in the 1810 paper will be of interest to members and therefore worthy of inclusion in the 1879 Association transactions.
