NEWTON-TRACEY, a parish in the hundred of FREMINGTON, county of DEVON, 5½ miles (E.) from Bideford, containing 84 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £5. 8. 1, endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas à Becket.
