an entry in the survey of North Molton manor carried out on 8 August 1569 on the death of George, Lord Zouche

HesyllJohn Pasmore holds for the term of his life by copy of the court dated 8th April in the 31st  
 year of the reign of King Henry Vlll* by grant of lord John Zouche a moiety of a  
 tenement with its appurtenances in North Hesill by the annual rent of 5s 3d. Fine 26s 8d  
    
 The reversion thereof is granted to Michell Pasmore [son] of John by the copy of the court  
 dated 9th March in the 2nd year of the reigns of Philip and Mary King and Queen by leave  
 of lord George Zouche under [fine       s] 8d
