Will: 
In the name of God Amen.
The nine and twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord God one thousand and eleven I Christopher Chapple of Northam mariner being of perfect heath sound mind and memory calling to mind the uncertainty of this life do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and forme following (that is to say):
First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping to obtain perfect remission of all my sins and to inherit eternal life And my body to the earth or deep.
And as touching the willing and bequeathing of such goods and temporal estate which God out of his Bounty hath been pleased to bless me with in this life I give and devise the same in manner and form following:
I will that all such debts or duties which of right or confidence I owe or shall become due or payable at the time of my decease to any person or persons be duly paid and discharged together with my funeral expenses by my executrix hereafter mentioned.
I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Bridget Chapple the messuage and dwelling house wherein I now live with all and singular the household goods and implements therein contained and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging during her natural life and after her decease to descend to my children Elizabeth and Rebeckah equally to be divided among them.
All and singular the remainder of my goods cattles chattles and all my substance whatsoever that shall remain at the time of my decease I give and devise unto my said loving wife and two daughters to be equally distributed and divided between them.
I do hereby nominate and appoint my said well beloved wife my sole executrix of this my last will and testament revoking and making null and void all and every other will and wills by me formerly made ratifying and confirming this as my last will and testament and none other.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

There is no obvious sign of a Baptism for Christopher Chapple, his marriage to Bridget, or a burial for him in 1714.  It is therefore likely that he was buried or lost at sea.
