Devonshire Clock and Watch Makers
Devon Notes & Queries, Vol. 3, no. 6 (1905), pp. 155-156.

Prepared by Michael Steer
At the time of writing, the new edition of Britten's "Old Clocks and Watches and their Makers" (1904) had just appeared and in it, Devonshire made a poor showing. This paper provided some more names of Devon clock and watch makers, in the hope that they might be added to those appearing in Britten's text. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Toronto Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
