Thomas Spargo was a mining engineer, stock and share-broker in mining and engineering projects, an advertisement in his book claims, "through his long experience as a practical miner, aided by his monthly visits to Cornwall and Devon, to afford accurate information as to the position and prospect of the various mines in those Counties." Devonshire mines are addressed in Chapter IV. This rare book was produced from a digital copy held by the Bodleian Library that can be downloaded from Google Books. Google has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries.
