Will proved 10th May 1833 by Francis Seaward of Ottery Saint Mary, Baker and William Chapple of Otter Saint Mary aforesaid yeoman, by implication executors

This is the last Will and Testament of me John White of the Parish of Ottery Saint Mary Yeoman and Shopkeeper.
I give to Francis Seward of Ottery Saint Mary, Baker and to William Chapple of Ottery Saint Mary, Farmer, all my live stock, stock in trade, credits, furniture, goods chattels and effects of my Kind in Trust for the following purposes, that is to say, that they the said Trustees shall as soon as possible after my decease dispose of all my effects by Sale and divide the proceeds in the form and manner following, after the payment given just debts and funeral Expenses.
I will that the said Trustees shall pay to Wm Butter Twenty pounds due to him upon the land held by lease by my late father John White upon West Hill 
And that they pay to my four brothers Samuel White, Richard White, Thomas White, and James White six Pounds each and to my brother William White eleven pounds and to my brother in law Charles, the son of the late Charles Salter, five pounds and to Wm Salter, the son of the said Charles five pounds and to Sarah the wife of Robert Row five pounds. 
Also to Ann Knight, my servant five pounds. Also to Mary Couch five pounds, and to Mary the wife of John ?? three pounds 
My dressing apparel I wish to be divided among my five brothers and if any of them dispute the division hereof made by the trustees he shall forfeit half of his share and also half of the Legacy previously devised in the Will. 
It is my desire that if my effects shall produce more money than I have devised in the Will that my trustees shall divide it among my five brothers in equal shares. And that if less money should be produced by the Sale then that by my legacy I have given shall be diminished in equal shares
Signed dated and delivered by the said John White as his last Will and testament in our Presence and attested by us in his presence and in the presence of each other the 20th day of Nov 1832
