MARLAND (PETER'S), a parish in the hundred of SHEBBEAR, county of DEVON, 4½ miles (S. by W.) from Great Torrington, containing 343 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter, and in the patronage ot T. Stevens, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
