Will of William Queade of Plymouth (1836)

I William Queade of Plymouth in the County of Devon do hereby revoke all Wills Codicils and other Testamentary Dispositions made by me at any time heretofore and do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament I give and bequeath all my furniture plate linen china wines and cash in the house and at my Bankers debts owing to me by private individuals property which shall be in & about my house & premises wherein I may be residing at the time of my decease unto my dear Wife absolutely subject nevertheless to the payment of my just debts funeral expences & the expences of proving this my Will I give devise & bequeath to my brother Charles Queade Surgeon and to Charles Graves Wakefield Esqr Banker Old Broad Street London all that the dwelling house with Stable garden & other appurtenances situate & being No 15 Wyndham Place Plymouth aforesaid & also all my money invested in the British or fforeign ffunds my two shares in the Cheltenham Water Works and all other my personal property which shall be invested & converted into Capital & all the rest of my real & personal property whatsoever Upon Trust to pay the annual income of my said other real & personal property to my said wife during her life & upon her decease I give my said house & premises and my two shares in the Cheltenham Water Works with the accumulations of rent & annual income thereof to my only son William Henry to be vested in him at his age of twenty one and such portion of the annual produce to be applied for his maintenance & education as my trustees shall think requisite and if my said son shall not attain the age of 21 years then I give the said house & premises shares in Water Works & accumulations to my two daughters Emily & Amelia in equal proportions to be vested in them at the age of 21 years or previous marriage with benefit of survivorship between them and as to all the rest of my real & personal property from & after the decease of my said Wife I give & bequeath the same to my said three children in equal shares with benefit of survivorship between them the share of my son to be vested in him at the age of 21 years & the shares of my two daughters to be vested in them at the age of 21 years or previous marriage & the interest of their respective shares to be applied to their respective maintenance & education during the suspense of vesting and in case it shall happen that all my children shall die before the said property hereinbefore bequeathed for their benefit shall vet in them or one of them then from and after the decease of my said Wife I give the said property to my borther Charles Queade his heirs and assigns for ever provided he shall be living at the time of the decease of all my said children & in case of the death during the life of either of my children & of the death of all my children before the said property shall become vested in them or one of them then I give the said property to the children of my sisters Grace Johnston & Mary Quarry to be distributed between them in equal shares And I give my said Trustees the usual powers subject to the approbation of my said Wife during her life & on her death at their own discretion of nominating other Trustees of changing securities of reimbursing themselves of all expences and all other usual powers & authorities And I hereby appoint her my said Wife and my brother Charles Guardians of the said persons & estates of my said children And I appoint my said Wife and my brother Executors of this my Will In Witness whereof I the said William Queade have hereunto set my hand & seal this sixteenth day of January 1836 _ William Queade
