Inquisition taken at Exeter 26 Jan. 16 Henry VII. [1500/1] before Hugh Coline escheator after the death of Robert Whityng; by the oath of John Kyrham, [sic; Kirkham] Humfry Walrond, John Keynes, Richard Hals, William Gybbes, John Cruys, John Fortescue, William Merwode, William Bury of Colaton, esquires; John Kayleway, Andrew Strecchelegh, Edmund Denys, Christofer Gibbes, Richard Wode of Ermington & John Takyll; who say that Robert Whityng was seised of 3 messuages 200 acres of land, 20 of meadow, 20 of wood & 7s.4d. rent in Wonford, held of the Prince of his honor of Bradnynche by knight's service; worth by the year clear £2; - 4 messuages 320 acres of land, 20 of meadow, 8 of wood in More Ryngswill held of John Speke knt., of his manor of Branford Speke by fealty worth &c. 20s; the manor of Prodomsisle, held of the bishop's of Exeter by fealty worth &c., £10; - 12 messuages, 1,000 acres of land, 100 of meadow, 200 of heath & 10s. rent in Upton Prodom otherwise Payhembury held of Edward Courteney earl of Devon of his honour of Okehampton worth &c., £10; - 40 acres of land 4 of wood in Catishay held of Thomas marquis of Dorset by fealty worth &c., 5s.; 100 acres of land 8 of meadow in Luttokishele held of the prior of St. Nicholas Exeter by fealty worth &c., 20s; - 1 messuage & garden & 2 acres in Honyton held of William Courteney knt., of his manor of Honyton, by fealty; worth &c., 20s.; 1 messuage 200 acres of land, 10 of meadow, 4 of wood in Cokynghays held of Alice Bonuyle widow by fealty worth &c., 20s.; - 100 acres of land, 4 of meadow, 20 of heath & 3s. rent in Sydbury, held of the dean & chapter of Exeter, by fealty; worth &c,, 20s.
By charter dated 29 Sept. 5 Henry VII [1489] he enfeoffed thereof John More, John Kyrham, Thomas Coterell, John Gilberd, William Walrond, Nicholas Knyght clk., John Kyrton, Nicholas Prous, Peter Meryfeld & John Walrond who are yet seised thereof.
He was also seised of the manor of Wode, held of William Courteney knt., of his manor of Cadley by fealty worth &c., £6.13s.4d.

Robert Whityng died 9 Sept. last past [1500].
