Historian, Rev Charles Worthy was Vicar of Ashburton. This treasure house of Devon's genealogy was based in part on family wills and in part on historical analysis of a number of surnames in Devonshire. Its Subscribers List was produced from a digital copy of Worthy's book that can be downloaded from https://archive.org/details/devonshirewillsc00wortiala Microsoft (MSN) has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries.
