ROBOROUGH, a parish in the hundred of FREMINGTON, county of DEVON, 5½ miles (E. by S.) from Great Torrington, containing 523 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £10. 8. 9., and in the patronage of the Rev.Thomas May. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
