This is the last Will and Testament of me James Lavalade now residing at Mount Pleasant in the Parish of Sampford Peverell and County of Devon Gentleman made the twenty third day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty three I give and bequeath all my money in the ffunds or otherwise whereof I am possessed and all my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (subject to the payment of my just debts and ffuneral and Testamentary expences)unto Jane Currwood the Wife of John Currwood of Mount Pleasant aforesaid ffarmer in whose house I have sometime past lodged and to her Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely to and for her and their own use benefit and disposal in consideration of the many kindnesses shewn me And I make and appoint the said Jane Currwood sole Executrix and Universal Legatee of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills and Testamentary dispositions by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Jas Lavalade
