In the Name of God Amen

I William Wilkins of Bere in the county of Devon Mariner being of a sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my Mother Susan le Loyde of Bere in the county of Devon widow all my goods chattels money and plate wages and prize money if any also I give and bequeath unto my brother all my clothes of every kind also I give unto my Mother all my lands and living of every kind of which I the said William Wilkins of Bere the son of Susan le Loyde do possess this being my last will and testament dated March 9th this present year of our Lord 1783 I herewith set my hand and seal William Wilkins [LS] Witness John Bampfield David Jones

On the twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four administration with the will annexed of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of William Wilkins formerly of Seaton and Bere in the county of Devon and a Seaman belonging to the East India Merchant Ship Atlas deceased was granted to Susanna le Loyde formerly Wilkins widow the natural and lawful Mother of the said deceased and a Residuary Legatee named in the said will no Executor being named therein having been first sworn by concession duly to administer it
