The Last Will & Testament of Robert Paige, Late of Sheepwash

In the Name of God Amen. I Robert Paige of the Parish of Black Torrington in the County of Devon labourer being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding thanks be to God for the same to make this my last Will and Testament in manner following
I give devise and bequeath to my brother Joseph Paige the sum of five pounds to be paid in six months after my decease
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my brother Bartholomew Paige the sum of five pounds in the six months after my decease
Also I give and devise and bequeath unto Hugh Balkwell son of Hugh Balkwell of Black Torrington the sum of three pounds to be paid in six months after my decease
And I so hereby nominate constitute and appoint my brother James Paige sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the twenty ninth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen

Signed sealed declared and published by the above named Robert Paige Testator as for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses
