SOURTON, a parish in the hundred of Lifton, county of Devon, 4½ miles (S. W.) from Oakhampton, containing 546 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the rectory of Bridestowe, in the archdeaconry of Totness, and diocese of Exeter. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas à Becket.
