This is the Last Will and Testament of me Nicholas Gould of Southmolton in the County of Devon Conveyancer

All my freehold and copyhold messuages lands and tenements situate in the parishes of Southmolton and Bishopsnympton and elsewhere and all my leasehold testamentary and personal estate property and effects whatsoever and wheresoever subject to the payment of my just debts I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Mary Gould to hold the same unto and to the use of her the said Mary Gould her heirs and assigns for ever. 

And I make and appoint her the said Mary Gould executrix of this my Last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and my seal this thirtieth day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty. Nichs Gould

Signed sealed and delivered and published and declared as and for his Last Will and testament by the said Nicholas Gould in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. Elizabeth Smyth of Southmolton, spinster, Eleaner Westacott, Thomas Tapp servants to Mr. Gould

Proved at London 9th June 1848 before the judge by the oath of Mary Gould widow the relict the sole executrix to whom admor was granted having been first sworn by commission duly to administer
