IN THE ARCHIDIACONAL COURT

OF

BARNSTAPLE

Henry Squire of Saint Giles in the Wood in the County of Devon - Sawyer

Executor named in the last Will and Testament of Francis Squire late of St Giles in the Wood in the said County and Archdeaconry of Barnstaple, Carpenter who died on the thirteenth Day of August 1835 make the Oath and saith that he hath made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the Personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, in order to ascertain the full amount and value thereof; and that to the best of his knowledge, information and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels, and Credits, of which the said Deceased died possessed; (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of, or entitled to as a trustee for any other Person or Persons, and not beneficially, but including the Leasehold Estates for years of the Deceased, whether absolute or determinable on Lives, and without deducting any thing on account of the Debts due and owing from the Deceased), are under the Value of One Hundred Pounds

The last Will and Testament of Francis Squire of the Parish of St Giles in the County of Devon Carpenter

I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Squire all that Cottage and Garden called Blakes Cottage stituated in Wills Street in the Parish of Great Torrington to hold the same in trust for the sole use and benefit of my Children and their Heirs hereinafter named the income arising from the same to be divided in equal shares at Christmas every year To John Squire Grace Taunton Francis Squire William Squire Thomas Squire Henry Squire Frances Judd Michl Squire and Anthony Squire

I give and bequeath unto my Daugther Betsy Squire all that my new Built Cottage called new Built Hester House and Gardens situated in middle Kinscott but if she leaves no Issue to be given unto my Children above named

I also give and bequeath unto my son Richard Squire all that Cottage called Easter House and Garden situated in Middle Kinscott but if he leaves no Issue I give the said Cottage to my Children above named the rent of which shall be divided in equal portions

I give unto my Daughter Betsy the Post Bed and Bedding together with my Coffer Brass skillet Brass moilar Round Table & tracter

I also give unto my son Robert the sum of one pound sterling to be paid to him Annually out of the House and Garden Called new Built Hester House,

and lastly I give all my Club and Institution money and all other moneys that may be due to me at my decease to my son Henry who shall pay my Funeral expence and all my just debts,

and I do hereby appoint my said son Henry Squire my sole Executor in this my last Will and Testament made and Executed in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five
