Thomas Larkham, MA. (1602-1669) was a Puritan clergyman and early but not permanent settler at Dover, New Hampshire. Born at Lyme Regis, Dorset, M.A. Cambridge 1626. In 1622 he was living at Shobrooke near Crediton, where he married. He was instituted vicar of Northam, near Bideford, 1626, His puritan views brought him trouble and he was tried in the Consistory Court at Exeter. In 1640 Larkham left with his family for New England, going first to Massachusetts, but moved on to Dover then also called Northam. In 1642 he returned to England and was Vicar of Tavistock, 1649. In 1664 he became partner with Mr. County, an apothecary in Tavistock, and carried on the business successfully after Mr. County's death. He was buried at Tavistock on 23 December 1669. Google with the Archive Organization has sponsored the digitisation of books from several libraries. The Internet Archive makes available, in its Community Texts Collection (originally known as Open Source Books), books that have been digitised by Google from a number of libraries. These are books on which copyright has expired, and are available free for educational and research use. This rare book was produced from a copy held by the University of Michigan Library, and is available from the Internet Archive.
