TEDBURN (ST. MARY), a parish in the hundred of WONFORD, county of DEVON, 4½ miles (S. W. by S,) from Crediton, containing 709 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £18. 6. 3., and in the patronage of the Rev. Charles Burn. A cattle fair is held on the Monday before Michaelmas-day. At Hackworthy, in this parish, there was formerly a chapel of ease.
