In the Name of God Amen I Edward Price of West Teignmouth in the County of Devon Gentleman being of sound mind and disposing memory and understanding make this my last Will and Testament in manner following I give devise and bequeath unto my dear daughter Sophia Dean Spratt the wife of Captain Spratt of the Royal Navy all my property of every kind whether real or personal and all my Goods monies and effects of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever To hold the same to her the said Sophia Dean Spratt her heirs executors administrators and assigns for her own sole and separate use and benefit and disposal independent of her husband and not subject to his controul in any way And I direct that her receipt alone shall in all cases be sufficient whether she be married or single And I make my said daughter Sophia Dean Spratt sole and beneficial Executrix of this my Will which I declare to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this seventh day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty _The mark X of Edward Price
