Effects Sworn under L300.

In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Traies of Topsham in the County of Devon now in the Service of Dan B. Davy Do make & publish this my last Will & Testament in Manner following. I appoint William Traies, Artist of the City of Exeter and Dan Bishop Davy, Merchant, of Topsham my Executors in Trust for the following purpose they are to sell all my effects of every description and place the amount at Interest with my other Money I die possessed of for the benefit of my only son Samuel Traies and on his making application to them for the same they are to pay the amount over to him for his sole use & benefit and his receipt for the same shall be to my Trustees a sufficient discharge but In case my said son Samuel Traies should at the time of my decease be gone abroad, he having enlisted as I have been informed in the British Army, or should he die abroad in such case I thereby authorize my said Trustees on their receiving authentic information of the decease of my said son to pay over all the property I die possessed of with all the Interest accumulated in equal ...... proportions to my following named relations- to Hannah Legg, Sarah Underhill, Ann Middlewick and the son of my late sister Mary -
I hereby Publish & declare this to be my last Will & Testament In Witness there of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of September 1841
