TRUSHAM, a parish in the hundred of EXMINSTER, county of DEVON, 2¼ miles (N. N. W.) from Chudleigh, containing 192 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £9. 4. 9., and in the patronage of Sir W. T. Pole, Bart. In the church is a very rich wooden screen. Ten poor children are instructed for a rent charge of £5, purchased with the sum of £100, raised by subscription for that purpose.
