In the Name of God Amen The seventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty six I Johnathan Ostler of the parish of Uplyme in the County of Devonshire Yeoman being of perfect mind and memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament That is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent Christian manner by my Executors hereinafter to be named I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Ostler all my leasehold lands and tenements situate in Carswell Bottom in the parish of Uplyme for her use and benefit during her natural life Also I give unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Ostler my goods and furniture for her use during her natural life also I give unto my wife Elizabeth Ostler all my live and dead stock an Inventory of my household goods and furniture to be taken after my decease and after the death of my wife Elizabeth Ostler I give my leasehold lands and tenements household goods and furniture equally between my children hereinafter named Mary Jeffers wife of James Jeffers Sarah Bartlett wife of George Bartlett Ann ffowler wife of Charles ffowler Samuel Ostler John Ostler Elizabeth Ostler George Ostler Hannah Ostler Julia Ostler ffanny Ostler .... Ostler and I do hereby revoke all and every other former Wills or bequests by me in any way before named ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament I do hereby appoint my two sons John Ostler of Bridport in the County of Dorset Sail Cloth Weaver and Robert Ostler of Uplyme County of Devon Labourer my Executors in Trust In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal to this my last Will and Testament this seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six The mark of Johnathan Ostler X
