WARKLEY, a parish in the hundred of SOUTH MOLTON, county of DEVON, 5½ miles (W. S. W.) from South Molton, containing 268 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £14. 4. 7., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Exeter, by lapse. The church is dedicated to St. John. A school is supported by small annual subscriptions.
