“BELCHAMP (OTTON), a parish in the hundred of HINCKFORD, county of ESSEX, 5¼ miles (N. by E.) from Castle - Hedingham, containing 352 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £12, and in the patronage of the Rev. John Cox. The church is dedicated to St. Ethelbert and All Saints.
