"HANNINGFIELD (EAST), a parish in the hundred of CHELMSFORD, county of ESSEX, 4¼ miles (S. by W.) from Danbury, containing 398 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Essex, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £13. 15. 7½., and in the patronage of the Rev. John Nottidge.
