"HOLLAND (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of TENDRING, county of ESSEX, 12½ miles (S. E. by S.) from Manningtree, containing 413 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £17. 13. 9., and in the patronage of the President and Fellows of Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
