“BRAXTED (LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of WITHAM, county of ESSEX, 1 mile (E.) from Witham, containing 117 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £3. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Francis Capell, Esq.
