“CANFIELD (LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of
DUNMOW, county of ESSEX, 2 miles (w. by S.) from
Great Dunmow, containing 249 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex, and
diocese of London, rated in the king's books at
£12. 0. 7., and in the patronage of the Master and
Fellows of Christ's College, Cambridge.”
