“BENFLEET (NORTH), a parish in the hundred of BARSTABLE, county of ESSEX, 3¾ miles (W.) from Rayleigh, containing 303 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Essex, and diocese ot London, rated in the king's books at £16, and in the patronage of the Rev. C. R. Rowlatt. The church, dedicated to All Saints, has a small wooden steeple.
