"UPPER RAWCLIFFE, a township in the parish of St. Michael-on-Wyre, county Lancaster, 2 miles N.E. of Rawcliffe, Out, and 6 S.W. of Garstang. It is joined with Tarnicar, or Tarnacre, to form a township. There is a school with a small endowment.
