The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

"BRAMLEY, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Basingstoke, in the county of Southampton, 5 miles to the N. of Basingstoke, its post town. Part of the parish is laid out in hop-grounds. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Winchester, of the value of £385, in the patronage of the Provost and Fellows of Queen's College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to All Saints, and has a monumental brass of the year 1508."
