"EVERSLEY, a parish in the Odiham division of the hundreds of Holdshott and Odiham, county Hants, 6 miles N.E. of Odiham. Winchfield is its post town and nearest railway station on the London and South-Western line, 4 miles to the S. of the village. It is situated within a short distance of the river Blackwater, and includes the tythings of Great and Little Bramshill. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Winchester, value £475. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The parochial endowments consist of the rents of four houses and about £3 per annum. Bramshill Park is the principal residence. The Rev. Sir W. H. Cope, Bart., is lord of the manor. Fairs are held on the 16th May and 18th October. "
