Little Cowarne, Herefordshire - Extract from National Gazetteer, 1868

"LITTLE COWARNE, (was Cowarne, Little -RL 2003)a parish in the hundred of Broxash, in the county of Hereford, 4 miles S.W. of Bromyard. The village is small, and part of the land is planted in hope. The living is a curacy annexed to the rectory of Ullingswick."
