LLANGARREN.

LLANGARRON is a large parish and village, 5 miles south-west from Ross, 6 from Monmouth, and 13 from Hereford. The church is an old stone edifice, with tower and spire, in the Anglo-Norman style of Architecture. The living is a vicarage, with Hentland and St. Weonards. There are chapels for independents and Wesleyans, and a National School for boys and girls. The population in 1851, was 1,217, and the area is 5,605 acres.-Llangrove Common, Llanclody, and Lewson, are in this parish.
