"BIRCH (MUCH), a parish in the upper division of the hundred of WORMELOW, county of HEREFORD, 6 miles (S. by W.) from Hereford, containing 353 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Much Dewchurch, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, endowed with £600 royal bounty. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
