"MUCH BIRCH, (or Great Birch), a parish in the upper division of the hundred of Wormelow, in the county of Hereford, close to Little Birch. Hereford is its post town. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Hereford, value £106, in the gift of T. G. Symons, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The charitable endowments produce £7 per annum."
