"COWARNE (MUCH), a parish in the hundred of BROXASH, county of HEREFORD, 5 miles (S. S.W.) from Bromyard, containing 585 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £14. 19.7, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Gloucester.
